I want a balustrade kit like this http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?id=90686&ts=10369# .
I have a different kind of bannister with no newel posts at the moment and it is a straight forward up and 180 return staircase.
Can anyone give me any guidance in fitting and how to cut out and fix newel posts.
I have a lot of guides from the net and have a reasonable idea of what goes where, just when it goes where is the problem!
I know to fit newel posts first but what from there is the best way to do it, considering the kit is pre-morticed and tenoned.
Should I cut handrail and baserail angles to fit and get them in place, then take off and attach the spindles.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
