Hello there,

I would appreciate any help or suggestions in relation to the following:

I have just bought myself a new Double ELO, and would like to find out
how this should be fitted. I have a very small kitchen, with not very much
cupboard space, and reluctant to forfeit any or very little of this. I inherited
a old & neglected Hygena gas hob & oven, when I bought this place in 2008.

Should it be contained with a cupboard or can it be fitted on top of
a worktop. Not sure what the safety (fire risks) might be!!!!!!!!!!!
Or, should it be fitted on a different type of surface?? Stainless Steel, metal or similar.

The Electrics have been taken care of.

Many thanks in advance.

Dee

If its a double oven I think you might find it a bit big to sit on a cupboard.
It has been designed to be BUILT IN.
It would be possible to have it sitting on a small cupboard, but both the cupboard & the oven will need to be securly fitted.

Just a thought why didnt you find out about how it should be fitted prior to purchase.
or was it very cheap & couldnt be refused

Dee- please get a grip.

1. A double oven will draw more than your old one, so please explain how the electrics have been taken care of

2. I assume the old oven space will be freed up, so you loose space for th new position and gain it for the old

3. A double eye level built in does what it says, it needs to be eye level and built in.

4. Tail floor cabinets are plentiful, design for such appliances.

Hi there,

Thank you for your reply.

I am fully aware that it should be Built in, and no, it was not cheap.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply,

Not sure what you mean!! "please get a grip"

I am fully aware that my new ELO will use more power than the
old one (maybe) And I know what ELO means.

With regard to the "Electrics" A fully qualified electrician 17th edition registered, will install the unit.

Thanks.
