Fitting new light and switch

Right, just make sure you run the cable vertically down to the switch (so that it's in the allowed zone), fix it as you wish and plasterboard over it.

Unless anyone who knows more than me disagrees!

Understood, thanks.

Hi,

I was just talking to a friend, who said it is not legal under building regulations, to fit a light switch inside a toilet. Is this correct?

Fitted plenty of light switches in toilets. If it has a bath or shower, just stick it on the outside of the door

Phew!! Thanks, no shower or bath, but there will be a washbasin opposite, 2FT away.

Does the washbasin need to be earth bonded?
