Hello,

My bathroom walls are not straight as you can see from this video:

Can you help me understand what's required to fix the walls and how much it would cost? For completeness, on the other side of the wall there is a small radiator and two light switches.

Thanks,
Y

Few walls are perfectly flat.

If re-tiling then the unevenness will be taken out by the tiles. When levelling up.

The guy in the video is the tiler complaining that tiling on top won't look good.

If you click on "Watch this video on YouTube" you should be able to see it.

I presume the bathroom has been re-skimmed before once old tiles were removed which explains the substantial difference against the door frame.

You can either ignore it and do level best with tiles, I'm not sure you would be able to see the walls are wonky.

Where the tiles were previously doesn't look worse than anywhere else I've seen, what did the tiles look like before being taken down, could you see they were wavy, or did you not notice?

Way to fix it properly is to skim the walls and float them. To do this you may need to knock off all the old plaster but I'm not 100% sure

It's a newly built house. It hasn't been re-skimmed. The video was made when tiles came off and the builder sent the tiler in the video to re-tile. Now tiles are glued properly but looks horrible.

Thanks for the advise. I'll try to get some quote.
