Fix mirror to bathroom window - suction cups?

I have a small vanity mirror (approx 12"x12") that currently sits on the bathroom windowsill above the sink. It leans against the window with the bottom edge held behind the window handle.

Problem is it gets in the way of opening the window when you need to.

Has anyone ever tried using suction cups to stick a small mirror to a window?
Is the weight of the mirror likely to be too much?
