Hi,

I've just have one of those garden out sheds built and want to hang a cheap largish tv on one of the inside walls.

I understand there's two methods. One is sticky pads (which work as tvs now are lighter?) and the other (better?) is to use studs in the wall that the TV bracket goes on.

So I guess I need a tv bracket and studs then. Would this be a uniform size that I can get of Amazon etc? I'd hate to put something up and the tv I buy doesn't slot into the bracket.

TIA

Matt

Tv is screwed to the two part bracket, a variety of fixings are supplied to suit all the variations in size.

The electric point has is not right in the centre of the wall. Does that matter? Does the bracket have to be completely central? I'd really like the tv to be completely central on the wall, well at least in the middle from left to right!

You need a size designed to carry the weight of the TV, with a suitable layout of the bracket holes, where it fixes to the TV. There seem to be two standards, large and small TV's and some which fit either. Then you need to decide whether you want it flat back to the wall, or cantilevered, so it can be at an angle to the wall surface.

Mounting it to a shed wall, you will need to fix it to the studs in the wall, the easy way is to fix some ply or board across two studs, then the bracket to the studs.

You don’t want socket central or it could hinder bracket , it’s better low or high and off centre.
