Hi All, New here so hope this is the right place to ask.

Our drawings for our extension show 140mm pir between studs and then 50mm over the entire wall then plasterboard on top. My question is what fixing should i be using for 50mm pir to the studs and then what fixings for the plasterboard thats going over the top for fixing to the studs also

Thanks
D

Are you using separate plaster board or insulated plasterboard, ?
Ordinary plasterboard screws are fine. You’ll only need a couple to keep the PIR in place before boarding then use a longer plasterboard screw.

50mm insulation and then foil backed plasterboard

On the outside you need vertical counter battens before the horizontal battens to provide a vented cavity behind the cladding btw.
