fixing spikes for bunk bed posts

can anyone tell me where i can get the spikes from that go into the 4 posts of the bottom bunk so the top bunk can attach on top of it? im trying to sell mine but they're no good as bunk beds if i cant fix them together! thanks in advance guys. sam :confused:

Measure ths diameter of the hole and the depth, then pay a visit to a decent hardware shop(NOT ONE OF THE "SHEDS") and ask for a length of silver steel.And a good hacksaw. :LOL:
 
IMO silver steel is a bit OTT.
Bright mild steel would be plenty good enough for the job, cheaper and more readily available.

I agree about finding a decent hardware shop - and a decent hacksaw.

You can get dowels to fit, it's what most timber bunk beds use to align legs.
