Flags

On the topic, I think it speaks to a wider thing. I think the general public has had enough of the perception, whether real or otherwise, that it's good to promote certain stuff, including the woke agenda, migrants, LGBTQ etc, however when trying to promote so called traditional values and tradition over this, it's almost as if we're being told to shut up and deal with it.

I think the flags, represent the majority of the mostly silent majority in the UK. A major, whose patience is reaching a limit. Now they are maybe expressing themselves.

This is a "great flag great flag"......

I'm born and bred in Scotland, to a white Scottish mum and brown Indian dad.
He fecked off (the old I'm off for a pint of milk thing :)) so I've known nothing of that side of my heritage whatsoever.
I sometimes joke many white people will know more about India and their culture than I do.
I consider myself Scottish and British.
I like England and English people.
On a trivial note, if no Scottish representation, I will happily cheer England on for the win.
I do not want the union to be broken.

As a proud Englishman I also cheer on Scotland, Wales and Ireland in sports.
I dont understand those that don't (either way)

Poppycock and piffle, old biscuit, it does nothing of the sort.

An Englishman may consider flying the flag at a sporting event, such as an International football match or, if you have to, a Test Match, but the majority of sensible English folk do not feel the need at all to sport such an emblem outside their residence lest they be mistaken for the sort who consider a fish supper eaten in newspaper as the culinary outing of choice.

An English nationalist is the unspeakable in full pursuit of the uneatable, no diff. to their Scotch or Welsh counterpart.
