With the nights getting darker, I need some floodlighting in a largish room I am working on. I want to get one this weekend but I am not sure what size to get. I have seen free standing floodlights in 150W, 400W and 500W versions. What size will I need to floodlight walls for plastering and painting etc? Thanks.

one can always dim lights down by pointing them accordingly, but you can't increase lumins
Have you considered this type of thing less harsh light and it doesn't get hot.
