Floor tiling on t+g flooring

Firstly sorry if this has been asked b4, i did have a look.

I understand that plywood is needed when tiling on floor boards, my question is

Is this the same when tiling on tongue and groove 8x2ft sheets (e.g. modern house)?

If so what thickness of plywood should I used and should it be glued, nailed or screwed.

Any pointers appreciated.
