flourescent lights

hello i have a fluorescent light in my kitchen it keeps going out for a few seconds upto a minute or so the fitting is only about 2 years old all seems to be fine as far as i can see any help would be gratefully recived thanks

When the tube goes out, do the cathodes at both ends of the tube glow?

If so, it's the starter. Replace it.

hello no when it goes out it is out completely stays off for about 3 to 5 seconds then comes on as though nothing happened

Have you replaced the tube and switch starter?

If so did you use the right wattage tube and or starter?
