flues in voids and co detectors

If a flue passes through say a kitchen to get to the outside wall but the boiler is in a cupboard in the hall, where should the CO detector be, bearing in mind the flue in the kitchen in boxed in
 
Ideally one in each of, kitchen hall and bedroom(s) directly above the flue route.
The entire flue should be visually accessible, and be inspected every year by a RGI.
