My ford focus 1998 starter motor has started sticking , so i proceeded to remove the starter from the gearbox housing. when removed still could not remove due to the live and earth wiring still attached. The wiring + & - running from the battery go to a black plug style connection ,llike wise the wiring from the bulk head to the starter run to the connector . i can not see how to remove the wiring from the starter.anyone an idea

never actually done one but the terminals on a starter are normally attatched to studs with a nut,have a closer look,they may be covered with a plastic sheild
