Dear Admin, I'm not fussed at all, but I don't think the thanks counter is incrementing properly. just thought I'd let you know, as I say doesn't bother me.

It works in here, I thanked the op who went from 20 to 21.

And then I unthanked him so it went back to 20

You can talk about any old crud in the general forum (and people do) and it is common on sites with a thank you system for general drud to not add to your reputation.

Its generally kept for helpful posts for instance in DIYnot things like help in the actual DIY forums where people are asking questions/seeking help.

American Accents, tropical fish and fundamental christian transsexuals are not the type of messages that should be improving a members reputation.

So I do not see there being anything broken.

It's all explained here. The 'ratings' were dropped some time ago, but GD 'thanks' obviously still do not count towards the total.
