We had a Wayne Kerr test instrument tooI used to work as a test engineer years ago and the company that supplied out oscilloscopes was called "Wayne Kerr Instruments". My boss was always very childish and gave their rep a lot of stick.... The company still exists and their website is actually Waynekerr.com!

Can't help but think it was not really a well known expletive way back then. When I had occasion to phone them, they always answered as "Kerr Instruments" and given the amount of stick that their reps and field techs used to take, they certainly knew that their name was something of a laughing stock!seems they still exist - it was two peoples surnames, and they disn't choose Kerr Wayne, so was it a marketing ploy? or was that not a common word in 1946?

I know a Wesley Anker, he's definitely the sort to want a platinum card.
