I have a patio door whereby the frame is coming loose against the surrounding brickwork.

I need to screw through the frame and into the brickwork at the side.

The frame is initially aluminium which is mounted on 1.5" thick hardwood which in turn is mounted to the brickwork. I need to screw through the lot and into the brick to pull the frame tight and secure.

Anyone know what the best fixing is to use? Removal of the whole door is not really a DIY option so the solution needs to be able to go through all the layers and pull the lot in tight.

Thanks
Dan

Check out Screwfix or Toolstation- search for frame anchors and take your pick. Sounds like you want 100mm (so there's half in the wall and half in the frame). Toolstation own brand look as if you can drill and fix through, Fischer you definitely can. Both types latch into the hole so if you ever want to remove the frame it'll be a pain.
