Are there are free design tools on-line ?

I am wanting to build a corner cupboard and shelving from the floor unto the ceiling in my new extension. I have a small corner section to work it into. The width is 80cm and depth 55cm.

I am just struggling to work out in my head how it will all look. My issue is how to hide the spine post which will go from the floor to the ceiling. This will be a structural support for the unit as it will load on to this plus the wall at the rear and on the left side (the L section).

Simple box ? What’s a spine post?
If you can’t imagine it how you going to draw it .?

SketchUp works for me, although I do find that before using it I need to rough my ideas out with pencil and paper first

Thanks for the links I will have a look.

If you have a L corner the shelves are support on 2 sides by the wall but the other 2 sides are open. So I thought place a supporting post from floor to ceiling and this will carry the load for this side as you tie in shelves as you build upwards

Look strange with doors on ?

The bottom section will be enclosed and doored, but the main section to the roof needs to be open as it creates that open feel. Just creating an enclosed box with doors is not the thing i am after

Is’nt an enclosed box a cup’d?
Going up to roof now , is that thru ceiling .?
