Dear All

I am intending on fitting UPVC French Doors in place of an existing window. The width of the window is OK however the underside of the lintel is 2.3m above where I want the sill / cill of the door to sit. As the frame is about 2.05m in height, there is going to be a 0.25m gap between the top of the frame and the underside of the lintel. The outer leaf is a brick wall with a concrete lintel.

Has anyone got any ideas on filling the gap?

My current thought is to put UPVC flashing with insulation behind it.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Do you mean 0.25m which is 250mm or is it 25mm :?:

if you haven't already made the doors, why don't you ask the manufacturers to include a slim top light (fixed) to make up the difference?
