Fruit and veg ‘will run out’ unless Britain charters planes to fly in farm workers from Europe

I don't think it's over sensitive. It's perfectly possible to talk about immigration without using words such as 'overrun', as done by Andy.
When you look at the tone of his posts, it's very clear that he doesn't actually like foreigners and if a racist card is used then perhaps he shouldn't do his best to sound like one.

How did i guess you would jump on this one?

Am sure you recollect this very same discussion we had, i referred to Brists and Spain which spiralled into you being a bit hmm abrasive.

For example

"The point he is making is that white, British people are evil and foreigners are better than us.

It's a point made often on this forum and it should not be tolerated. I expect that most of the readers of this site are white British and that the likes of Sir Galahad and the others who post this tripe are white British too!

What other nation hates itself so much?"

He's got a point we do seem to somewhat hang our heads in shame in some sort of post colonial guilt. We have nothing to do with our history of generations before etc but we attempt to over compensate to try to prove some 'we are not racist' etc.

Not long ago watching some stand up comedian non white in fact was talking about how White British act around him, it was discrimination alright with an audience politely chuckling away. Flip that for a moment a white comedian observing Indians Native African etc, my god a sh't storm. It's ok to be bashed(we deserve it) but not bash.

Do we? I don't hang my head in shame - nor do I know others who do this.
Everyone I know just gets on with life. Doesn't think that colour, nationality or whatever is important with the people they meet, it doesn't even enter thoughts. I actually don't get why people like Andy have to bang on and on (using provocative words/phases) about the past, about foreigners, how things have changed since he were a lad. It's more like he has trouble letting go.

I don't recall the convo before, sorry - there's so many anti-foreigner posts on here that I lose track.

It's the mindset here. The old saying 'most of my friends are black etc..' such cliche. Why say that? Ok somewhat older generations but big corps play on this too. Positive discrimination whilst illegal we now have positive action, awesome!

Anyway ill take you back, is it racist to Observe Brits have turned parts of Spain into sh't holes, commercialised into an extended British seaside town fish chips and Joe Spoons pub, where once a quaint Spanish restaurant sat? They've overun some towns with it, that's fact. Is that being racist?

You need to ask the people in Spain if they're being racist about the Brits in question, the way they talk about them over there.

And.. I honestly don't remember the convo.

Perhaps, if the people who stopped running immigrants into the ground using incorrect hearsay as facts, stopped all the crud that is said about them when it's not due, stopped looking at people based just on their background or whatever, then there'd be nothing to compensate for, or as you think, overcompensate for.

Going back to the fruit and veg picking. for 2 years after the referendum, southwest news would regularly have live interviews with farmers whose crops were almost ready fretting that nobody would we available to pick them and the crops would rot in the fields. During harvest time this would be on the news almost every night, dour faced interviewer "so will your crops rot in the fields?", fretting farmer "yes there is no one to pick them".
There were hundreds if not thousands of these news items.
In all that time, I never saw a single follow up interview where crops had rotted in the fields.

If you find shortages in supermarkets, seek out your local farm shops, believe me they've got hundreds of tons of fresh produce, all picked and ready for you.

Good moaning!! No you misunderstood my question, my observation about Spain and Brits, flip it, 'Those Asians have ruined Bradford, the high street shops in no way reflect native British, the mosques the concrete garden, lack of pride in house upkeep. One would say that's foreigner bashing hate. Is it ok to observe how our Brits have ruined parts of Spain but not ok to observe it about 'foreigners' in our own country, and no i don't think foreigner is the best word to use.

No, not misunderstood at all. But I am suggesting putting the question to the people in the equivalent situation.

And I said before - it's possible to talk about the negative impact of immigration without using the emotive and sometimes disgusting language, as well as base the impact of immigration on lies (such as Andy has done). If they use that sort of language then yes, they sound racist.

You're avoiding answering the question then, i will answer it for you, if we Brits make observations like the example i gave in our country in a negative(and not with racist connotations) it's racism. If we observe about Brits in Spain and the negative impacts we have on them etc it's a fair comment, 'Brits abroad' what springs to mind? That's fair game. It's a double standard.

See above.
