Hi!
I was wondering if someone can help and sorry if you have answered this kind of question before!
I have been trying to figure out the wiring on some switches at a new place we have just moved in to and it has me stumped.
Whats there at the moment is 2 switches at either end of the hall and 2 lights. As the first light/switch didn't do anything I decided to check to see if it was the wiring behind this switch and when I took off the face plate it turned out that there were 2 x 2 core cables coming in to this switch but the reds had been joined with a connector and then the blacks wired in to the switch.
So, I decided to check the other end of the hall it behind that switch and there were 3 x 2 core wires with 1 wired in to the switch (1 way switch) and then the other 2 wired together in a connector (both reds and both blacks).
I know this is a big question but.... any ideas on how to fix this / how it should be wired?
Thanks for any help or advice you can give!
