The previous owners of the house have wired 2 wall lights into the mains plug circuit via a fused spur - image below

it is all fine and working, but, they put the switch low down (at plug socket level) which is a pain as we want to cover the area with furniture, this would mean we can never access the switch!

so what I wanted to do is replace it with a wifi and Alexa enabled smart switch - but aware it would also need to be fused

are there any out there that people know of?

ideas? Suggestions welcome!

What sort of lamps do the wall lights need? You could simply replace the lamps with smart lamps, like the Philips Hue. Then it’s all Alexa ready!

i would - that was my first thought too - but the bulbs are G9’s (now LED) but as far as I’m aware there aren’t any smart bulbs for that fitting?
