Hi, My 16+ panel was faulty so I decided to fit a different alarm, however, my son has talked me into buying a replacement panel, & the alarm works fine again.

However, we need some indication that the alarm is armed, a flashing led would be ideal. My question is, is there a terminal, or point, where I can connect 2 leads +&-, to power the led, only when the system is armed?

TIA.

If it's like the Galaxy 2-12 then there's a setting which makes the keypad screen go blank when set. Thus if you see the banner it's unset, if you seen nothing it's set. Not a good idea to do this if a burglar could see the screen and figure out it's unset tho.

Yes, problem is, wife needs something to tell her the alarm is armed, & a flashing led would be just the job.

Could you make a particular zone begin the entry countdown (and beeps) when she entered it?

Setting the alarm is no problem, we are oap`s, & we quite often forget to set the alarm when we go to bed, if i ask if the alarms on, the reply is, I think so, now from the top of the stairs we can see side of the keypad, & I thought if we had a flashing LED when the system was armed, it would save one of us going down again to check. It would be an easy job for my son to do, but we dont know if the panel has any output point which becomes live when the system is armed.

Sons managed to get a copy of the engineers manual, so I just phoned him to take a look, & yes, No 4 on panel can be set to activate when the alarm is set. Perfect. Thanks a lot guys.

Just a further on this, there is a "Relay" on board which allows switching an output of 12v. Terminal 3 is the live input from +, & the unmarked terminals either side gives out 12v when alarm is set, or 12v when alarm is unset.
