I've installed a belfast sink base and sink, and added end support panels either side of base (all b&q). At present, the worktop would sit on the end support panels and be 2-3mm above the ceramic belfast sink (and not actually sitting on it). Is this a sufficient enough gap between sink and worktop or should it be more? Also is this gap finished off by filling with silicone?

your top should overlap the sink by 12mm with a 6mm drip 6mm back

Thanks 'big-all' but i was refering to the gap between top of back edge of belfast sink and underside of granite worktop. I think the 12mm you refer to is for the overhang of the worktop past the inner edge of the belfast sink?
