Garage Roof

Bit of advice required please.
Our garage roof needs replacing. We bought all the stuff about a year ago and a guy we know who is a builder was going to be doing it for us. well he hadn't a clue and when my OH gave him advice (nicely) he said stuff it and walked off. Anyway, I don't want my OH doing it as he has too much on already. We want it all taking off and all new timbers and boards to have a 'proper' job. Where is the best place to find people now as hardly any adverts in yellow pages and finding someone local on the internet is horrendous! Is this type of job for a roofer? Or joiner? Need to get some prices first.
Any help be appreciated.

Trading standards run scheme. Should list a roofer or builder. Roofer will be the best person to undertake a new roof as it's their profession.
