Garage to accommodation - Householder or Full Planning

Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly harder to contact Councils for advice, and many services have stopped until further notice.

I have a house with a detached garage. The proposal is to extend the garage (it will still be separate from the main house) into living accommodation for parents. Would the application be Full Planning or Householder?

Second part of the question. What happens is if we have lived in the house for less than 21 days?? (certificate a??

Are you sure your garage extension actually requires planning permission?

A householder app is merely a full planning app tailored and simplified for domestic properties.

This seems like a granny flat, so would be suitable for a householder application .

You have to make the relevant declarations that apply to your situation, otherwise the application will be deemed invalid.

I assumed because it changes to the accommodation rather than an outbuilding.??
