We have inherited a nice table and chairs, but previous owner had used an exterior wood coating that is peeling off and looking ugly. I have started on the table, just sanding that down. But the chairs are going to be a serious challenge to my patience! Are there any good strippers for this type of coating (Sadolin Classic type)? I did think to drop them off at the local sand blasters....

A jet washer will take it off.

On softwood it will raise the grain, but it will be easier to sand smooth once stripped, and you only need do the seats and arms.

@newboy...hardwood.
I have a pressure washer, so could try that route, but I actually want to take it all back to wood and use Danish oil or Osmo product instead of a coating.
