Garden tap attached to heating pipe?

proberbly somewhere in the building regs.would look it up, but a bit busy at the mo trying to find if theres a reg on using your toilet waste for an outside tap

so would it be ok to run the garden tap off the toilet inlet pipe and how do I know for sure it runs off the mains?

Turn the main stopcock off and flush the toilet. If it refills then it's fed from a tank, if it doesn't refill then it's mains fed.
