likely to be the balanced flue version, fan flue doesn't have pilot AFAIK.
push button control on gas valve? yes, then when you let go, it goes out.
or doesn't it light in the first place?

fan flue does have a pilot and works on rectification
so its a pre ignition pilot rather than a permanent pilot

Actually its an Interupted pilot not a pre-ignition pilot on the ultimateFF
