I am in the process of having gas installed. Is there any way to change the outlet side of the brown box to to the left? This may seem trivial but my reasoning for siting the box where It is was to run the pipe out the left side and around the side of the house etc. with it on the right it has to come out and go up and double back on itself etc. I’ve did a quick search here but I am not sure. Here’s a pic. Obviously connection work will be by a gas safe engineer.

Alternatively can you run the pipe out the right side but go immediately down and behind the box?

Isn’t it more about the meter design?
Boxes vary

I guess a fitter could route the pipe work to do a 180° inside the box?
Then use a hole saw to make an exit?

Talking to the guy who does it would help.
