The existing gas hob in a property I rent out requires replacement.
Do I have to comply with the current regulations regarding clearances? When i have had the landlord Safety Check done in the past it has been noted that the clearances are NTCS but is still signed off.

If it needs to be to latest regs I think a induction hob will be the way to go...

Thanks all.

Nothing SHOULD be installed that does not meet the current requirements for clearances.

But I suspect many RGIs would still fit if the infringement was small.

I would advise caution with an induction hob for renting out. Apart from the higher cost of the hob I thought that you may have to buy your tenants a new set of cooking pans!
