I installed a gas hob yesterday and the customer has just rang me asking did i leave a certificate :confused: i thought it was only cookers that needed registering through the self cert scheme.

cookers/hobs, fires, boilers, boot size number of tools, type of van, what you drink..........

Tell them everyting and they will be happy, (and the tax man :eek: )
 
£orgi rules require that they are notified of all installations of gas appliances by RGIs. This is what is referred to as GWN. The Building Regulation self-certification aspect is separate and requires that certain gas appliance installations (boilers mainly) are notified to Building Control. £orgi generously do this on your behalf "free-of-charge" following your GWN to them.

All installations timmy. And just to be on the safe side also provide as clf-gas says...

Mind you, those rules only apply to RGIs (or is that RGI's Chris ;) ). Anyone else can do what they like... that's a joke by the way :!:
