came across this strange set up of the gas pipe. (see photos,) the gas pipe enters the property via 15 mm copper pipe then goes through this strange configuration of pipe work, then it connects to a lead pipe and goes off up through the ceiling , before this there is also a tee pipe off the lead pipe which terminates and the end is just crimped over!
Also the copper pipe you can see with the bonding cable attached that heads under the floor has been disconnected.
The gas pipework to the boiler at the back of the property is connected in copper pipe.
What are your thoughts and should it be condemned?

Looking at the pic of where it all joins togther i can see an old iron pipe, this must have bee the original supply to the gas meter which used to be in that cupboard, they have then just bodged it all together to make it work. Lead pipe has not been acceptable for a good number of years now for gas so thats got to be disconnected. If you only need gas for your boiler then i suggest yoyu get a gas fitter to disconnect the unused connections and see if the pipe left is upto the job or not, as it has been reduced to 15mm there is a chance it wont.
