the screw has came out of the gas valve in my boiler is it ok to run it as the house is freezing

definately leave the boiler off, and can you explain how the screw came out of the valve!!!!!!!!

err on side of caution; gasvalve that has had diy interference is dangerous until proven safe.
leave boiler off and call rgi
