Gas smell from boiler flue?!

He propositions people because he likes their water systems?

Wow it is odd on here. I never thought a plumbing forum would be used for this sort of thing.

look clown
whatever name you are using now you are "water systems" as in pest on screwfux
who has reg on this site under at least 4 aliases
because you where banned every time

and your working on it again

Don't now why they are so rare - transition boiler? I know Vaillant haven't even got one in their training rooms.

Yeah, do you think there are better than the latest Vaillant offerings? Like the Ecomax series after that and then Ecotec 600 and 800 series.

The turbomax also had green buttons ad a red light, how are you so sure its not one of them, is it because the OP said its a condenser, if so that doesnt mean it is, they generally get condenser mixed up with combi

This model has no green knobs like the Turbomax, it just has all buttons were you can adjust the flow temp etc. There is a red LED display, also it has a condensate drain so its deffo a condenser :)

It really does sound like a very odd model David. can you take a picture and post it here?

Of course my previous comment only related to conventional burners and not to premix.

But the only Vaillant condensing boiler that I have seen are the latest Ecotec, the very similar Ecomax and the downwards firing previous condensing model which I thought was their first UK sold model which was a bit of a disaster due to corrosion of the ali flue parts and the alloy sump.

I dont remember the controls on that model but I am sure they were rotating knobs and not buttons.

Like that, hope it helps.

Agile, You made a simple error but have to try and justify it

We all make mistakes ask Vokera

It looks vaguely familiar as if I have seen one before, but I have never worked on one or looked inside.

Hopefully someone will be able to identify it and describe what it contains inside.

Amazing how someone who all he knows is its a vaillant fitted 12 years ago and seen it once can post pictures of it .
Lawrance, mickeyg etci my problem with trolls is why dont they just ask the question they want answer for instead of dressing it up and posting it under an alias

That picture is not mine, I found it on the internet somewhere, I remember the boiler well and that's exactly how it looks.

David is a genuine person!

He is 15 and very bright but equally he is stupid because, in spite of all grade "A" GCSE passes, he does not want to take "A" levels and go to uni.

Some of you may also have noted that his spelling and grammar is perfect and puts many on here to shame.

When I was 9 we lived beside a railway line, nice four bed house with big garden though. Before my dad sold it, Dr Beeching closed the line so that was added value. At that age I wanted to be a train driver!

At 27 and on secondment from the BBC to the Arabian Gulf, I would have been very pleased not to be a train driver on the same boring journies every day!
