Gas valve problem?

Ideal super mexico cf80 propane boiler - starts, runs till up to temperature then stops at which point the pilot light goes out. Is this a gas valve failure or something else?

Are replacement gas valves gas type specific eg natural, propane etc.

You need a RGI for this and he or she must have LPG as an element Im afraid, look up your local RGIs on the Gas Safe register

thank you for the reply. That was my intention but I like to understand the problem as well. I am also considering replacing the entire system with a less expensive fuel oil alternative.

The engineer will explain the problem to you on his visit. Unlikely to be gas valve.
