Have a Mexico with Honeywell gas valve and the boiler has stopped firing. Pilot ok and getting power to valve from the programmer when appropriate. Any ideas anyone aside from replacing the valve? Thanks.

Thanks Harrogate. I am an rgi but rarely get involved in breakdowns. Is it a simple job to change the solenoid?

On a grey button honeywell ?, 2 mins to change a solenoid and 30 mins to change a complete valve. bearing in mind the cost difference I would change the complete valve.

Well those pesky solenoids are fiddly when you have giant hands like me ;)

Kaboom, why are you "in Russia" ?

As far as I am aware CORGI does not operate in Russia yet!

I wouldnt recommend replacing solenoids unless they're O/C.

This time of year it could very well be sticking in which case the valve will need replacing anyway.

Oh that's just a form of colour blindness- red white and blue just get mixed up! Can I do some wiring for you?
Anyway, consensus of opinion points to changing the whole caboodle- thanks chaps.
