Ideal / Mexico Floor Standing

Hi, any help please, an ideal mexico floor standing with a honeywell gas valve type VR 4601C / A1018, the spark/ignition is ok, the pilot solenoid ok and 230v presents, but pilot not lighting, any ideas?

Corgi job, guv. There are several things which can cause it, and several things you can get wrong without knowing..

Pilot is blocked or gas valve gone then , providing spark is strong enough and in right place... Because there is 240 at solenoid this does not mean it is lifting the valve could be faulty solenoid,

Turn the gray flame nob in the direction of the arrow, then go have a cup of tea, try it again.

Which model is it, An GC number would be good.
