Getting Chuck Off a Cordless Drill

Bust my trusty corded drill Chuck but managed to get it off fairly easy.

Thought I'd swap it for a good chuck off one of my many knackerd cordless drills in my collection but cant get a chuck off any.

Do they come off or is there a trick I should know.

Cant be buying new at this time of year, wont be working much now until March

just to add to the link above
put the drill in low gear this will give maximum resistance
