getting dry ridge - so do i need dry verge?

Just had the majority of my ridge tiles come off in the high winds the other night Had a roofer round recommended by a friend who is to fix it. He priced us £150 to do the mortar type ridge we had originally or £200 to do the dry ridge. Weve gone for the latter as less maintenance and we live in a very bad wind trap (two ridge tiles came loose just three years ago - weve had enough). My question is, should I get dry verge too for the gable end? (we are end terrace of 1950s house) I dont want to ad extras on to the bill as its a bad time before christmas. however if its cheaper to prevent than fix.....

Well that's a good price so why don't you flutter your eyelashes at him and he might not charge you a lot more to do them. (if they need doing that is).

It would make sense to have the verge done at the same time, should it need doing.

However a poorly fitted dry verge (like the ****** do) is neither use nor ornament.
