Last year we had a new engineered dark oak floor installed, and unfortunately it was laid before all the building work was complete. A year later the floor still has patches (and quite clear demarkations where masking tape was) where the building dust is still in the wood grain.
We're reluctant to keep wetting the floor with soap as we don't want the building dust to start getting really compacted, but it's seems to be really stubborn. Can anyone suggest any ideas to get the floor back into a clean condition? Thanks in advance.
