Hi all,
I have attached some images in my albums;
//www.diynot.com/network/christhejp/albums/
of my lounge walls after i painted them. Can anyone please shed some light on why i have these patchy places and what i can do to fix it. Here is the order that i did things;
1. stripped all wallpaper and paint off
2.Had some plaster that had blown in various places so had it retouched by a plasterer (its an old house).
3.Let the plaster dry for about a week.
4.Made the whole wall smooth
5. Did a mist coat of watered down emulsion over the whole wall, let that dry for 2 days.
6.On the bottom half of the wall all the way around did an antimould paint about 2 foot high as there had been historical mould issues (although they had been sorted thought it might be proactive).
7. Did another coat of emulsion over the whole lot to get a similar finish.
8. Did 1st layer of soft stone colour paint all over allowed it to dry for a 2 days. Had weird patches but thought second coat would sort it out.
9. Did second coat of soft stone all over, let it dry for 2 days. Still have weird patches
10. Pulled hair out.
I now think only doing a partial coat of the anti mould paint was a bad idea, however not sure.
Any ideas or advice would be much appreciated!!
Cheers
