Being of sound mind I would question if a Union Jack dress was a traditional British dress and would have had my kid speak with their tutor beforehand but maybe that's just me? But I guess that didn't happen, either because the parents are not of sound mind or were setting their kid for a fall. It was so embarrassing for her having to sit in reception all morning but having her photo branded about the world in the shabby press is OK.

If the lefties in the school had a vision for what they wanted to kids to wear then they should of communicated it better. Unless it is made up - the lad that got sent home for wearing his families farming attire was wearing exactly what was asked.
As for the girl in a Union flag dress maybe there were scratching their heads as what to wear - how about the spice girls dress - that has our flag on it and that's all that it was.
