We have a Gledhill BG25 which has just sprung a leak. Called heating engineer, he opened it up and after poking around for a few minutes determined that it was the "Heat exchanger" that has burst open and needs changing. He now tells me that Gledhill has gone bankrupt and the part is no longer available and I will need to replace the boiler for a new alternative one.
Now, I paid over £2500 for this excellent boiler just over two years ago!
Is this really my only option?
Does anyone have any ideas?
Is there a possibility that I can pick up a second hand Gledhill unit for a reasonable price so I can get the heat exchanger of that? Where would I look for this?
I'm really running out of ideas here!
