Hi,

Hope someone can offer some advice:

My problem is this, I have a whole house to redecorate, in general all the gloss work is very good, just suffers from looking dull and nicotine stains.

Am I right in thinking I will have to sugarsoap and undercoat (X2) first then gloss/satinwood (X2).....I was hoping there is a much quicker way.....I will be here forever!!

Someone in the trade may know what the quickest way / what you can get away with is......

I'm planning on renting the property out, so need to get it sorted as quick as poss......

Your best bet would be sand to take off the shine dust off then oil based undercoat then gloss (one of each would do)

Thanks for that, will give it a go, although the undercoat I have is dulux waterbased.

I was hoping someone was going to say light sand and gloss straight over 1 coat.....

Turns out that Satinwood doesn't require an undercoat......so I will see if I can get away with a light sand and one coat of this.....it does recommend 2 but we shall see.......
