Hi all

First post on this forum. Our Skoda Superb 1.9tdi is starting fine with the glow plug warning lights working and getting the pre heat. However this warning light has startred to come on when driving and staying on. Is this simply a glow plug problem or could there be something more sinister behind it?

could be a fault has been thrown up due to a defective glow plug etc..
really needs to be put on the diagnostics to pin point the problem

Glow plug light doubles up as the fault code light! There will be a fault stored in the ECU and will need reading with the appropriate diag equipment.

Hi thanks for the replys. posted same Q on a Skoda forum, turns out to be the brake switch!!. if the switch is dodgy it sends a signal to the ECU which as already stated causes the glow plug lamp to flash. so if any one else comes across this problem check if your brake lights are working before going for a diagnostic check. Seemingly it is a common problem with Skoda's
