Seen this issue or similar issue before accross the forums read through multiple posts on different websites but just want alittle more information from whats going on with mine.

CH Circuit working fine
DHW - Water gets warm then goes cold then warm then cold.

No erorr code lights on boiler.

Gas is firing up then cutting out then firing up again then cutting out.

As mentioned CH is working ok, so I am assuming its not the gas.

Have read that it may be the flow sensor or diverter valve. But no one has before mentioned the gas firing on and off.

Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on which it is more likely to be in this situation?

Thanks in advance guys

Only had the boiler 3yrs, how expensive is this going to be to sort, is it better to just replace the whole boiler.

Just a case of removing the plate heat exchanger and flushing it out
most likely. Worst case is replacing the plate heat exchanger but that would be only if it was very badly blocked.

I would suggest mains flushing the central heating system at the same time
as this has most likely caused the problem.

The central heating was completely flushed just over a year ago.

How difficult is it to flsuh the plate heat exchanger?

Here we have the cause of your problem.
Debris from the flush has come around and come to sit in the plate heat exchanger.
If you can use a hose pipe you can flush a plate heat exchanger.

If you remove plate heat exchanger to try and clean it make sure you have new seals. Otherwise there is a very good chance it will leak when replaced

I don't think I'm going to try this myself. Found out that if the heating is on when the tap is running then the water cones out hot and the burner isn't clicking on and off. I don't know if this can help anymore with identifying the issue

It would appear you also have a passing diverter valve.
Again possible as a result of the powerflush and the dirt coming
to reset in the diverter valve.
