please help!! Just moved to new house, has the above central heating boiler. All was fine until today when had to turn off the gas supply to install a new cooker.
Now, cannot get the ignition to light, how do I do this?
Appreciate any comments!!!

A corgi registered plumber fitted it, but they've gone now.

There is no door to the boiler, it looks quite old. There's only a dial which I've tried pushing in and turning, it is making a noise but not flaring up at all.

I know that, but ideally I want it doing now as the house is freezing!! I wanted to know if there was a safe way of doing it myself?

does the gas valve look like

That's the problem, I can't see a thing!!! I'm going to have to remove the front cover to see anything. Is this dangerous?

Okay then, I'll attempt to remove the cover. Just hope I don't kill myself in the process!

Thanks for your help. :D

Not heard anything from tams for a while. Ah well there goes another diy enthusiast. RIP. :(

If you remove the cover beter be sure the old seal is still good when you replace it.

Its probably the pezo electric spark thing that is not working.
