Gloworm Boiler wiring

I'll definately admit that until I unravelled all the wiring I was confused and could'nt see everything.
Now on the other hand it all seems to be a lot clearer (I hope).
S/L should be the call for heat from the cyl stat, and P/L should be the connection currently tied in with the pump live. If thats the case then job done.

Fingers crossed

Rick

The boiler switched live would normally (Y plan) have an input from the cylinder stat and the motorised valve (orange wire). I suppose this link might be built into the wiring centre.

I've only actually read a couple of the lame replies from the experts

The yellow wire and the white wire go to the over heat stat
no pump over run, no switched live, no hermonuclear war initiator, just overheat stat

TRonight I have mostly been drinking ...

... and you wonder why I don't take you all seriously ?

God he is rambling again....go back to sleep George.

On the boiler junction box 8 - pump neutral, 9 - pump live, 10 - 240v mains neutral, 11 - 240v mains live, 12 - switch live in. The pump overrun is the purple wire from the thermostat into the other side of 9.

oylskeeee

a) it's geoff
and b) the yellow coming from the pcb (which IIRC) is what he was asking about) goes to the o/h STAT

corgiS , DON'T YOU LUV 'EM ?

Explains why you have not realised the OP is is concerned with external wiring for the boiler, not internal to pcb.

There is no yellow wire from any pcb on a fuelsaver mk2, though there are orange, red, purple, blue, brown and black/ grey (2 of them from the thermocouple interrupter to the o/h stat). Always nice to have your input though Geoff, highlights the benefit of using a corgi rgi.

you're in a different universe

Possibly, but at least it is the universe which is giving tazcat correct advise about his boiler. There are 2 wires from the overheat stat, originally grey but black on the replacements which go into a thermocouple interrupter block on the gas valve. Irrelevant though as the original question was fairly obviously referring to mains wiring to his new junction box....no fan, no pcb, no yellow wires and no lame replies, well apart from yours of course.
