My boiler seems to function ok whilst on but regularly errors and stops with the Reset LED lit. Turning the boiler control to min and back on again resets it and all is well for a while.

Is this a overheating fault?

I suspect it is a lack of sufficient flow, how can I check this?

If not insufficient flow what could the fault be?

The PCB has been replaced and same problem with both new and old PCB's.

Is your pump working? or possibly the overheat/highlimit stat is not working as it should,............

Pump seems to be running ok, all rads get warm quickly from cold.

The only LED lit is the Reset one, the Burner LED is out when in error state.

Burner LED lights as expected when burner is on.

Ok, this time when it stopped, the reset light was on constant, the burner LED flashing at about 2Hz.

Again, it's reset and the burner starts properly and rads getting warm.

Please HELP, wife and children getting cross!!!!

There is a modified PCB and ignition electrode for this boiler available as they had problems with lockout.

Pump sticking intermittanly would be the next shout...easlily changed and a lot cheaper than a new PCB.

PCB was recently replaced with the "new" green type along with the thermistor.

It enters the error state whilst the burner is running.

Just a guess but I would expect the electrode to cause a problem during the ignition of the boiler.

Thanks for all your help

Andy

Change the Thermistor. (I see you have done that now)

Change it again.
